Vision boards
My students and I are creating vision boards for 2018. We just got back to school on Wednesday and we are jumping right in. First, I talked to my students about what vision boards are and what one puts on a vision board. Then we created lists in our journals using categories like family, school, goals, etc. I told them they could do a vision board for 2018 and/or the future.

Tracing the numbers.

Cutting out the traced numbers.

This is a sample of the folders I gave the students to hold all the magazine clippings.
Then we started to dive into the magazines. Students are looking for pictures and/or words to put on their boards. They have had a blast digging through looking for what they want. Needless to say my classroom is getting a little messy, but I have good cleaners.
I decided to not use a traditional rectangle for the vision board. We are instead cutting out the numbers 2, 0, 1, and 8 as bubble numbers (essentially four mini boards) and attaching them.
We should have some finished products by the end of the week, so stop by next week and see how they turned out!
Thanks for stopping by my website!
