Well, I missed my blog last week due to the fact I dropped my computer on the treadmill. Surprisingly, I didn’t shatter the screen, which I thought was a for sure when it hit with a grand thud. But when I rebooted it, the screen was completely black. I could hear the computer running like normal, but nothing to see.

So I wasn’t able to do my blog or email my parents as I normally do on the weekends. My school computer was at school, of course. So I dug into my emergency fund and went to Costco. I was determined not to spend over $500. I was successful and did get a replacement (same computer, newer).
But the story doesn’t end there. After spending 3 days reloading all my fonts and various other things I needed from the cloud, a colleague offered to have her son see if he could fix my laptop. I agreed and but wasn’t very hopeful. Amazingly, he fixed it!

So, now I have two laptops. But I am actually good with that. I had another computer as a back up and it died about a year ago. I just know I can’t go without a computer. And since one is really for my TpT business, the other can be for personal stuff.
Well, at least my computer fiasco only cost me a few days of work. It could have been worse – the old computer could have been dead forever and I could have had no money in my emergency fund. All turned out!
