Hi Everyone! Hope you are enjoying summer break or about to! This month’s reveal and review is hopefully something you or a teacher friend can use in the classroom.
Reveal
I just finished creating my Summer Math Task Cards for 4th grade. There are 32 cards that cover the entire year of 4th grade standards in math. Normally, I use the math task cards in class when I am teaching the 5th graders. However, I am looping with my 4th graders this coming year, so I sent these task cards home to do over the summer vacation. No, they don’t have to do them. But knowing my kiddos, they will probably at some point pull them out. I just wanted them to keep the skills that they have learned this year fresh in their minds.
If you are using these in the classroom, there are several ways to use them. One is to laminate them and use them as a center. I have also passed them out and used them as exit slips. Sometimes, I will just run a few for each group or table to share. It just depends on how you want to use them and what works best with your teaching style.
